Our Story

In the early 1990s, the leaders of the then Norman Park Baptist Church felt the leading of God to start a Christian school. In January of 1994, Norman Park Christian School, with just two classrooms and opened its doors to 25 students.

Church buildings, grounds and facilities were developed through the
pioneering work of the local church membership.

Year after year, the school has continued to develop to become a vibrant and effective ministry. In 2004, the school became known as Lighthouse Christian School.

Lighthouse Christian School serves more than one hundred local families in the education of their children, with enrolments drawn from the founding church, other Christian churches and from families who, while not currently attending a Christian church, desire an education that is based upon Christian beliefs and values.
